In this episode we talk about what it means to be an Artist in today's world, the power of how we see ourselves & how that impacts our art, the role & importance of our art in evolutionary times, the mirror of life and creativity, reclaiming our energy & story, honouring who we are becoming by creating the art we want to see in the world, how play & joy transforms our work, using our art as an expression of all of it & a new empowering view & era for the entertainment industry.
We also discuss self doubt & what holds us back from being in our authenticity, re-defining what success looks like, having a healthier relationship with social media & the power of the present moment.
Anthony Meindl is an award-winning writer and director. He is the Guest Directing Lecturer at David Lynch’s Masters in Filmmaking Program in Iowa, and also has taught at the prestigious Moscow Art Theatre, The Gaiety Theatre, Dublin, The Danish National School of Performing Arts, The Actor Centre, London as well as Berlin, Rome, Helsinki, Brussels, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, New Zealand, Honolulu and Suva, Fiji. And has had acting studios in 12 cities all over the world (including New York, Atlanta and Vancouver) during his last 25 years in the business.
As a director, his feature film, WHERE WE GO FROM HERE, premiered at Outfest, won 'Best Screenplay' at Q-Films Long Beach and the 'Jury Award' at NYC's East Village Queer Film Festival and was acquired by HULU.
His short films have played everywhere, including the Provincetown International Film Festival, The Dumbo Film Festival, Santa Cruz Film Festival and won a number of awards, including 'Best Short Film.'
He is in post production on his latest feature called MEMENTO MORI that explores the climate crisis with interlocking love stories that take place all over the world. The production filmed in Namibia, South Africa, India, Greece, Taiwan and Canada last year.
As an actor he performed at the legendary Hollywood Bowl and can be seen on Jack Whitehall’s Netflix hit show, Travels with My Father. He was a guest judge on Armenia’s Got Acting Talent.
He is the author of 5 creative/acting books - including the best-selling At Left Brain Turn Right.
The script for his upcoming feature film, THE WONDER GIRLS, was the Grand Prize Winning Feature Screenplay in the Slamdance Film Festival Competition.
